Sonographer

We are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to complement and help health professionals to do the best job they can without the NHS 10 minute rush. We are also committed to working with local community leaders to find new ways to give back and make a difference.
We are a joint venture with a Portuguese Clinic, where we provide access to some of the best orthopaedic doctors in Europe onsite.
The role
The primary responsibility of the practice sonographer is to provide diagnostic ultrasound to patients. This will include:
- Set up and regularly check ultrasound equipment
- Deal sensitively with patients, before, during and after their scan
- Use ultrasound equipment to carry out examinations
- Produce images and interpret observations
- Write reports
- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient care records
- Train healthcare staff to use specialist equipment
- Make referrals to other healthcare professionals
- Communicate with physicians and other medical staff in order to provide quality patient care
- Follow practice policies, procedures and guidelines
