Is Shockwave Therapy Right for You?
Shockwave therapy may be considered for selected persistent tendon conditions including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, patellar tendinopathy and certain shoulder tendon presentations. Clinical assessment is required to determine suitability — not every patient or condition will be appropriate for treatment.

The initial appointment includes a full physiotherapy assessment and shockwave treatment where clinically appropriate. The follow-up appointment is 30 minutes. Please check the booking confirmation for your specific appointment duration.
Shockwave therapy is delivered when clinically appropriate following assessment. Not every patient will be suitable for shockwave at every appointment. Your physiotherapist will advise you on the most appropriate treatment based on your individual assessment.
Wear or bring comfortable clothing that allows access to the area to be treated. If you have any relevant scan results, referral letters or medical records, please bring these along. If you hold Bupa insurance, please bring your membership number and any authorisation code.
