About the Role

Lambert Sports Clinic is a CQC-registered sports medicine and physiotherapy clinic based in Surbiton, Surrey. We provide a full spectrum of musculoskeletal and sports health services to patients across Surbiton, Kingston, Esher, and the wider Surrey area.

With a significant and growing population of Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking residents in our local community, we are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nutritionist who can deliver evidence-based nutritional consultations in Brazilian Portuguese, as well as in English. This clinician will work alongside our physiotherapists, sports massage therapists, and personal trainers to offer holistic, integrated care.

This role is suitable as a part-time employed or self-employed arrangement, with flexible session days negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-to-one nutritional assessments and consultations with patients in both Brazilian Portuguese and English
• Develop personalised, evidence-based nutrition plans tailored to each patient's health goals, medical history, and lifestyle
• Support patients with sports performance nutrition, weight management, injury recovery, and general health and wellbeing
• Collaborate with physiotherapists and other clinicians on multidisciplinary care plans where appropriate
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in line with clinic protocols and GDPR requirements
• Educate patients on nutritional principles relevant to their condition or goals, in a culturally sensitive and accessible manner
• Participate in clinic marketing activities including patient information materials in Portuguese where required
• Attend relevant CPD events and maintain registration with the appropriate professional body
• Represent Lambert Sports Clinic's values of quality, compassion, and clinical excellence in all patient interactions

Essential Requirements

• Qualifications: BSc (or equivalent) in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from a recognised university. A postgraduate qualification is desirable.
• Registration: Registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN) or the British Dietetic Association (BDA). HCPC registration (if Dietitian) is required.
• Language: Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese (native or near-native level) and proficient in English (clinical communication level).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical nutrition or dietetic practice, ideally within a private clinic or sports medicine setting.
• Clinical Skills: Competency in nutritional assessment, dietary analysis, and the development of evidence-based nutrition plans.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex nutritional concepts clearly and empathetically to patients from varied backgrounds.
• IT: Proficient with electronic health records and standard office software.
• Right to Work: Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Insurance: Current and valid professional indemnity insurance (or willingness to obtain prior to start).

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working with athletes or sports performance clients
• Knowledge of Brazilian dietary culture and common nutritional habits within the Brazilian community in the UK
• Familiarity with complementary health services (physiotherapy, massage, personal training)
• Experience with weight management programmes and body composition assessment
• Existing patient base or referral network within the Brazilian/Portuguese community in Surrey or South-West London
• Social media presence in Portuguese that could support clinic outreach
