CQC Registered All Major Insurers Same-Week Appointments

Appointments & Referrals

No — you can book directly without a GP referral. We accept self-referrals for all physiotherapy, sports massage and sports therapy appointments. If you are using private health insurance, please check whether your policy requires pre-authorisation before your first session.

You can book online 24/7 via our booking system, call us on 0208 133 5694, or email reception@lambertsportsclinic.co.uk. We aim to offer same-week appointments for new patients.

Your initial assessment lasts 45–60 minutes. Your physiotherapist will take a full history, carry out a physical examination, explain their diagnosis, and agree a treatment plan with you — including goals, expected timelines, and any exercises to start at home.

This depends on the nature and severity of your condition. Many acute injuries resolve in 4–6 sessions. Post-surgical rehabilitation or chronic pain may require a longer programme. Your physiotherapist will give you a realistic estimate at your first appointment and review progress at each session.

Insurance & Payment

Lambert Sports Clinic is recognised by all major private health insurers including Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, WPA, Cigna and Allianz. Please obtain authorisation from your insurer before your first appointment. We can direct bill most insurers so you don't need to pay upfront.

Yes — we welcome self-pay patients. See our pricing page for current session fees. We accept all major debit and credit cards.

Treatments & Services

Physiotherapists are HCPC-registered healthcare professionals qualified to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions. Sports therapists specialise in musculoskeletal injuries in a sporting context, focusing on performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Both disciplines work together at Lambert Sports Clinic to deliver comprehensive care.

Yes. Sports massage is available as a standalone treatment with no referral needed. It is popular for recovery between training sessions, performance maintenance, and general muscle health. If our therapists identify anything during your massage that warrants a physiotherapy assessment, they will advise you accordingly.

The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill uses differential air pressure to reduce your effective body weight by up to 80%, allowing pain-free walking or running with significantly reduced joint load. It is used for post-surgical rehabilitation (knee, hip, ankle), injury recovery, neurological conditions, and performance training. Lambert Sports Clinic is one of very few clinics in South-West London with an AlterG.

Gait analysis is a video-based assessment of how you walk or run, using AI-powered software to identify biomechanical inefficiencies, asymmetries and injury risk factors. It is particularly useful for runners with recurring injuries, those returning to running post-injury, and anyone wanting to improve running efficiency. A full report and personalised recommendations are included.

Why CQC Registration Sets Us Apart

Most physiotherapy clinics in England are not required to register with the Care Quality Commission. Lambert Sports Clinic has voluntarily registered — submitting to the same independent inspections, safety audits, and clinical governance standards as NHS providers, hospitals, and GP surgeries.

Our infection control procedures, safeguarding policies, staff competency checks, and patient safety standards are independently verified — not just self-certified. When you choose Lambert Sports Clinic, you receive an extra layer of accountability and clinical protection that the vast majority of private clinics simply cannot offer.
